HAMILTON, OH — The president of a highly influential cleaning equipment manufacturer is letting people in on a little hygienic tidbit: Solutions that tout fast, easy cleaning generally focus on chemicals and fail to spotlight the cleaning process itself, according to the Middletown Journal.

After witnessing custodial professionals on their hands and knees cleaning toilets, Bob Robinson, Sr, founder and president of Kaivac Inc., thought there must be a better, more efficient way to clean restrooms and the fixtures contained therein, the story stated.

Robinson, Sr. said, "Our primary goal right now it to launch our latest cleaning innovation: The OmniFlex Crossover Cleaning System, a new invention designed to eliminate mops ... Because mops do a lousy job of cleaning. They do a brilliant job of moving stuff around."

In 1998, Kaivac was founded and the problem of thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting restrooms was, in the eyes of Robinson, Sr., solved with the advent of the no-touch cleaning system, the story noted.

According to the article, the invention cleans not only restrooms, but has been enhanced to tackle nearly all surfaces throughout a facility, including walls, floors, restrooms kitchens and more.

With 45 employees and nearly $11 million in yearly sales, Kaivac has contributed to the struggling economy and helped replace of thousands of bacteria-ridden mops and bulky, task-specific equipment with hygienic cleaning solutions, the story added.
