CHAPEL HILL, NC — Even as University of North Carolina (UNC) officials continue to deal with flaws within their housekeeping system, they will soon announce a new hire for the vacant housekeeping director position, according to Chapelboro.
Former Director of Housekeeping Bill Burston left the university in September and last December, former Assistant Director Tonya Sell also resigned amidst allegations of verbally abusing her employees, the article stated.
According to the article, since early 2011, a number of housekeeping employees have complained about poor treatment, with complaints ranging from sexual harassment to open threats.
In response, the Washington-based PRM Counsulting Firm was hired to investigate all allegations, the article noted.
