CHILLICOTHE, OH — A former hospital housekeeper has been accused in connection with thefts tied to cleaning contracts, according to The Chillicothe Gazette.
The former director of housekeeping for Adena Health System is expected to face felony charges resulting from an internal investigation that began in June, the article stated.
According to the article, the investigation involves a contract signed by the employee, who has not been named, on behalf of Adena to do external cleaning.
The company allegedly found that the woman had a personal connection to the contractor and had approved payments inflated by services never provided, the article noted.
"We''re still gathering information for law enforcement, but we certainly had enough for termination … Thankfully, but sadly, we are insured for such occurrences," said Cybil Miller, a spokeswoman for Adena.
