HUDSON, WI — Hudson Hospital and Clinics has been recognized by Practice Greenhealth, the national membership organization for healthcare facilities committed to environmentally responsible operations, with two environmental awards, according to the Hudson Star-Observer.
Each year, Practice Greenhealth recognizes organizations that demonstrate outstanding efforts in environmental improvement, the article stated.
According to the article, the awards include the "Partner for Change" award and the "Making Medicine Mercury-Free" award.
"These awards demonstrate Hudson Hospital and Clinics'' commitment to their patients and the community to protect public health and preserve the environment," said Laura Wenger, RN, executive director for Practice Greenhealth.
"Hudson Hospital and Clinics is truly demonstrating leadership for the future of healthcare," Wenger added.
