CROSSET, AK — On Monday, April 18 Georgia-Pacific (GP) sponsored a highway cleanup helmed by 140 GP employees, family members and retirees, reported The Ashley County Ledger.
Throughout the day the team cleared an 8-mile span of road and filled 157 large bags with garbage from the side of the road, the article stated.
"Georgia-Pacific employees do more than just make lumber and paper. A concern for the environment and the communities we live in is just part of our nature," said Teresa Walsh, Georgia-Pacific public affairs manager.
