The Healthy Facilities Institute (HFI) Becomes ISSA Alliance Partner

Boise ID – The Healthy Facilities Institute (HFI) and ISSA have announced an alliance to provide cleaning organizations with ongoing education about the Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) and other key initiatives designed to foster healthier indoor environments.

The partnership will include cooperative efforts to reach cleaning service providers (CSPs) and other influencers through articles and communications highlighting the value of CIMS and CIMS-GB, and the upcoming Clean Standard for K-12 Schools. ISSA will also identify HFI as an alliance partner on its website at www.ISSA.com and HFI will recognize ISSA as an educational partner on its website at www.healthyfacilitiesinstitute.com.

“We are pleased to be involved with ISSA in assisting cleaning organizations to learn about programs that boost professionalism, improve indoor environments, and add value,” said Allen Rathey, founder and president of HFI.

According to Dan Wagner, Director of Facility Service Programs for ISSA: “We welcome The Healthy Facilities Institute (HFI) as a partner in these ongoing efforts to create physically and fiscally healthier environments.”

About HFI

The Healthy Facilities Institute (HFI) strives to provide authoritative information for creating and maintaining clean, healthy indoor environments. Since buildings are ecosystems, HFI works to address the many interrelated aspects of built environments — such as air, water, energy, materials and resources, green cleaning, indoor environmental quality, waste management, people and more — as an integrated or holistic system. Inasmuch as “Clean” is a metaphor for healthy indoor spaces, HFI also emphasizes prevention and removal of pollutants or contaminants to help ensure optimum conditions for living, learning and working.
