DALLAS — Flor, a manufacturer of green carpet, has announced the opening of its fifth store, according to a press release.
The Dallas store, like its predecessors, will offer recycling drop-off for its customers to return worn Flor items, the release stated.
According to the release, Flor sells carpets that are made from either wool or mostly renewable and recycled content, with an end goal of eventually making all its carpets entirely from sustainable materials.
In an age when most carpeting comes with a high amount of unhealthy volatile organic compounds (VOCs), Flor carpets also either meet or exceed the Carpet and Rug Institute''s (CRI) Green Label Plus standard for low VOCs, the release noted.
