ELKO, NV — A woman will now give out judgments in the very courtroom she used to clean, according to the Reno-Gazette Journal.

On Friday, Nancy Porter was sworn in as the first female district judge in Elko County''s history, the article stated.

According to the article, Porter becomes another in a long-standing tradition of family members working for the county.
