HOLLISTER, CA — Bill Sachua started his education career as a custodian and worked his way up to his current position as a principal, according to the Hollister Free Lance.
After graduating from California State University with a degree in law enforcement, Sachua took a job as a custodian at Sunnyslope School when finding a job in his field was difficult, the article stated.
According to the article, while working as a day custodian for another school, Gablian Hills, Sachua realized he wanted to be a teacher.
He began teaching on an emergency credential, teaching first grade for five years, before completing his official teaching credential, the article noted.
