NEW MILDORD, CT — A maintenance supervisor employed by Sodexo Inc. and working at the New Milford Hospital was recently sentenced for his 2009 arrest, according to the NewsTimes.
Nicholas Moffo, who was arrested and charged with stealing goods including computers, piping materials, latex gloves and a camera between 2007 and 2008 that totaled $25,000, received a two-year suspended sentence and three years of probation, the story stated.
According to the story, Moffo bullied subordinate co-workers into helping him steal and intimidated them with threats they would lose their jobs if they spoke about the incidents.
Moffo, who was fired in the spring of 2008 for allegedly falsifying time sheets, has made roughly $15,000 in restitutions to the New Milford Hospital, the story noted.
Some of the electronics Moffo stole were recovered; however, the majority of the stolen cleaning supplies — including floor polish, rubber gloves, paper towels, hand soap and dispensers — were sold on eBay, the story added.
