NORTHFORD, CT — Fire-Lite Alarms by Honeywell is turning up the heat on its most popular support services centered on technical support, training, web-based education and tools for fire alarm design and maintenance, according to a press release.

To accommodate the needs of fire alarm installers across all U.S. time zones, Fire-Lite Alarms'' free technical support call center has extended its hours to remain open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST), Monday through Friday, the release stated.

According to the release, installers can e-mail questions to the technical support team or request a callback at a specific time when help is needed.

In 2012, Fire-Lite Alarms will host its fire alarm Training Academies in nearly 50 U.S. cities, the release noted.

These instructor-led, hands-on trainings range from a free, two-day fire alarm introductory course to a one-day course on advanced software programming, which continues to receive repeat requests from more experienced installers, the release added.

Also new this year is a Certificate Renewal Program: For technicians having previously attended a two-day Fire-Lite Alarms Training Academy, this program enables them to study and test for a new, three-year certificate without having to attend another instructor-led Training Academy, the release concluded.
