According to the release, Gilmer, who also serves as an officer manager of the FEA San Francisco office and a senior professional, is a registered professional engineer in five states, a certified facility manager and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-Accredited Professional (LEED-AP).
Gilmer has worked in the mechanical engineering industry for over a decade and is affiliated with a many professional organizations, serving as president of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) Redwood Empire Chapter, commissioning agent for Howard Hughes Medical Institute and a member of American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the release stated.
Candidates for CxA designation must be a registered architect, licensed professional engineer or a certified test and balance engineer, the release added.
