EXTON, PA — Endust® Free Dusting and Cleaning Spray is now the first non-disinfecting hard surface spray cleaning product to earn the "Asthma & Allergy friendly™" certification mark from the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) in partnership with Allergy Standards Limited (ASL), an international research organization. The certification was awarded in November 2009 to Endust Free Dusting and Cleaning Spray, the first fragrance-free, hypo-allergenic dusting and cleaning product scientifically proven to reduce allergens on surfaces and in the air to minimize the chance of allergic reactions. Independent testing shows that the product removes up to 92 percent more dust mite allergen than dry dusting alone.
"We know consumers are concerned about health and wellness, and we hope this mark, which appears on the packaging, will give people with indoor respiratory issues even more piece of mind when using our product," said Stan Stoltzfus, director of marketing for Endust Free.
Besides being free of any perfumes or fragrances, Endust Free Dusting and Cleaning Spray has a unique, hypo-allergenic formula that contains less-irritating ingredients and has an innovative dispensing system that features a narrow-directed spray to reduce bothersome lingering mist and overspray. The product also has a twist-and-lock cap to protect against accidental spraying. Many products that create a lingering mist after spraying can diminish good indoor air quality by introducing chemicals with high amounts of VOCs, which may also trigger allergic reactions. The Federal Clean Air Act requires each state to submit standards for achieving good air quality and protecting against VOCs.
In addition to the reduced allergen benefits, Endust Free Dusting and Cleaning Spray retains all the cleaning power of the Endust brand to quickly dust and clean for a natural shine. The distinctive packaging has an ergonomic-shape for a better, more comfortable grip and its eco-friendly, smaller-sized can uses 14-percent less packaging for less waste. The product is available in all Wal-Mart, Kmart and major grocery stores nationwide and has a suggested retail price of $3.99.
