MIDDLE TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Board of Education will test the air quality at Elementary School No. 1 after mold was found on corkboards in two classrooms, according to the Press of Atlantic City.

The affected corkboards were removed from and the classrooms and all surfaces cleaned with a disinfectant solution that kills mold, the article stated.

According to the article, the district has planned to hire experts to take air samples to ensure that the air quality in the school is safe.

"We''re scheduling an air quality assessment of the entire school. My only concern is providing a safe and healthy environment for our children and staff," said Superintendent Michael Kopakowski.

"We scheduled the testing and, when we get the results, we''ll do whatever is necessary to address it — if there is anything to address," Kopakowski added.
