ST. PAUL, MN — The chairman, president and CEO of JanSan soap and chemical manufacturer Ecolab Inc. saw a 13 percent decrease in yearly compensation for 2008 when compared to 2007, according to the St. Paul Business Journal.
Douglas Baker received $7.6 million in total funds for 2008, down from $8.8 million in 2007, the story stated.
Not factoring in various incentives and option awards, Baker received a yearly salary of $1 million for 2008; that figure is up from his 2007 salary of $900,000, the story noted.
Baker joined Ecolab in 1989. He was named president and chief operating officer in 2002 and was promoted to CEO in July 2004, the story added.
