MINNEAPOLIS — Dow Chemical Company has made a sizeable donation to two University of Minnesota departments within the College of Science and Engineering, according to The Minnesota Daily.
The $17 million donation will be used for research and development and was a part of the company''s desire to strengthen national research, the article stated.
According to the article, the University of Minnesota is one of 11 schools to receive monetary donations from Dow.
The company will distribute nearly $250 million over the next 10 years to the remaining 10 chosen schools, which include the University of Wisconsin and the University of Illinois, the article noted.
