Bay Area DKI Celebrates 25th Anniversary
Wood Dale, IL - Disaster Kleenup International, Inc., North America''s largest disaster restoration contracting organization, announced that DKI Member Company, Bay Area DKI of Oldsmar, FL is celebrating its 25th year in business.

Owner Mark Spicola and a few family members founded Bay Area DKI in 1986. Starting out in a small 12’x12’ office in Tampa, Bay Area DKI expanded over the years and relocated to Oldsmar. Their present facility occupies over 15,000 square feet of office and warehouse space.

Even with the continued growth, the family concept remains strong at Bay Area DKI. “We have always been a family business,” said Mark Spicola. “I started the business with my father Ernest and my older brother Joseph, who have since passed, but I am pleased to have my sister Violet Ganci and brother-in-law Michael Coleman continue to work with me as Executives of Bay Area DKI. I am especially proud that we are now a multigenerational company with the addition of my children and nephews working in the business with me.

Furthermore, I like to think of all of our employees as part of the Bay Area DKI family and continue to promote a family atmosphere.”

Over the last 25 years, Bay Area DKI has evolved into one of Florida’s prominent full-service

restoration companies. A large part of this evolution includes joining DKI in 1996. The DKI network represents the industry’s leading, property restoration professionals.

Through the DKI membership, Bay Area DKI stays at the forefront of the restoration industry with such achievements as becoming part of the first and only restoration organization to obtain a Green Risk Professional designation. In addition, Bay Area DKI continues to invest in employee training and restoration industry certifications so that they can continue to provide the utmost in restoration services.

“At Bay Area DKI, our business is to help people restore their property after fire, water, mold or wind damage. We understand that dealing with property damage and unscheduled repairs can be difficult for the property owner, so we strive to have a positive impact on the customers we serve,” said Mark Spicola. “I am proud to celebrate this milestone as I feel it represents our commitment in providing such service. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for all of our loyal customers that continue to support our business, and I am grateful for our employees that strive to create a positive experience for those customers.”
