Palace Construction Participating in Auction Charity Event
Wood Dale, IL – Disaster Kleenup International, Inc., North America''s largest disaster restoration contracting organization, today announced that DKI Member Company, Palace Construction, will be participating in an auction of custom built playhouses that will be offered at the Denver Botanic Garden’s Mordecai Children’s Garden Spring Opening Event on April 16, 2011.
In an effort to assist families in need, Palace Construction and Faleide Architects have teamed up along with 11 other Architect/Contractor teams to build 12 original children’s playhouses. These playhouses all reflect an aspect of Colorado’s unique heritage and will be auctioned off with proceeds being used to support programs and services for low-income families who live in Rocky Mountain Communities’ affordable housing.
Rocky Mountain Communities’ mission is to develop and manage affordable housing and provide support services to help individuals in need. Since 1992, RMC has provided affordable housing and program services to more than 10,000 families in need.
The playhouse, design, materials and labor are donated by architects, contractors, and subcontractors. After a four month exhibit period at a variety of high profile/high traffic locations including the Denver Botanic Gardens Trail of Lights at Chatfield, and the Denver International Airport, the playhouses will be offered up for auction.
The Palace/Faleide playhouse theme is the “Milky Way Saloon”. Palace Construction is looking for partners that are willing to contribute materials or cash that would be used to help construct the playhouse. For those interested in donating, your checks should be made out to Palace Construction, referencing the Playhouse Project. Companies contributing to the effort will receive an In-Kind-Donation receipt and a listing on the “For Sale” sign at all venues where the playhouses will be displayed.
For any questions regarding this project, the Rocky Mountain Communities, or how to contribute to this worthy cause, please contact Maggie Bolden, Business Development for Palace Construction at 303-698-4145. You can also contact the Playhouse Project Manager, Matt Seewald at 303-777-7999.
Palace Construction has provided insurance restoration in the Denver marketplace since 1963, and has been a DKI Member since 2003.
