BOWLING GREEN, KY — Warren County Public Schools will eliminate almost 40 custodial positions by outsourcing services, according to the Bowling Green Daily News.
The decision to outsource custodial services is expected to save the district more than $300,000, the article stated.
According to the article, the winning bid was from Knoxville, Tennesse-based GCA Education Services; the only other bid submitted was Sodexo Operations of Altamonte Springs, Florida.
All eight middle and high schools will have their current in-house custodial services eliminated in the move, while 15 tenured custodians will likely be spread among the other elementary schools, the article noted.
