This week''s discussion focuses on government-mandated eco-labels.
Each week, more and more stories cover various government-mandated eco-labels. A widespread practice in many European nations, eco-labels enforced by federal, state and local governments are appearing more frequently now in the United States than ever before.
Arguably, some of these mandates — Green Cleaning in Schools regulation, for example — are beneficial to everyone.
The subject welcomes opposition, however, when municipalities force companies and organizations to build "green" or clean and maintain facilities in a more environmentally friendly manner.
For better or worse, it is likely this trend will continue — presumably on a national level.
Where do you stand on this subject — should government entities be allowed to force eco-label compliance?
