WESTMINSTER, MD — There is never a "typical" day for a custodian, ensuring that there is never a dull moment, according to the Carroll County Times.

Today is Carroll County Public Schools'' (CCPS) custodial and maintenance personnel recognition day in honor of the approximately 250 custodians and 70 maintenance personnel employed by CCPS, the article stated.

According to the article, the custodial and maintenance personnel are individuals who are dedicated to their jobs, doing normal preventive maintenance and putting in maintenance worker requests when needed.

"They''re the backbone behind the scenes keeping things running," said Doug Gross, supervisor of plant operations.
