SUGAR LAND, TX — The Fort Bend Independent School District recently announced that Lidia Jimenez, lead custodian at Fort Settlement Middle School, has been named the first District Employee of the Month, according to Fort Bend Now.

Jimenez will be honored in November for her "unsurpassed commitment to excellence that earned the respect and gratitude of her colleagues and recognition by the Employee of the Month Committee," the story stated.

According to the story, the news was delivered to Jimenez by Human Resources Coordinator Tonya LeClair during a surprise announcement in the Fort Settlement Middle School library.

Jimenez, a team player who takes great pride in her work, is known for going above and beyond what is expected of her, the story noted.

Students and staff know Jimenez as the woman who always says "thank you," though they feel like they should be constantly thanking her, the story added.

Fort Bend Independent School District representatives said: "Lidia Jimenez''s staff is inspired by her work ethic and tireless acts of generosity. She takes a personal interest in the Fort Settlement Middle School staff, students and in the community and always has a smile on her face. Fort Bend Independent School District is grateful to Ms. Jimenez for exemplifying the word service and for being a source of motivation for her campus.
