DANVILLE, KY — Ricky Richardson looks unassuming enough, quietly and efficiently picking up litter in the main parking lot at the Boyle County school complex, according to The Advocate-Messenger.
But a case could be made for having Richardson''s likeness replace the guy riding the horse in the Boyle County High School rebel logo prominently displayed on the nearby football stadium: In a way, he''s something of an historic figure, the article stated.
"I have worked here 33 years," says Richardson, who is 53. "You add the years I was at the high school and middle school, and I''ve been here nearly 38 years."
"I guess you could say this is my home away from home," Richardson added with a smile.
When you talk to Richardson, you discover that he not only enjoys his job and the people at his workplace but also history, the article noted.
According to the article, he can remember events and incidents over his more than three decades at the complex like they occurred yesterday.
