DARIEN, CT — A custodian at Holmes School recently resigned after he was arrested on allegations that he broke the wrist of a teacher, according to the Darien Times.

Robert Munro was arrested and faces two misdemeanor charges of breach of peace and lying to police for his supposed role in grabbing the wrist of a teacher and causing a hairline fracture, the story stated.

There are no witnesses in the case, but the teacher claims Munro became upset during a conversation and grabbed her, tightening his grip on her wrist after she expressed pain, the story noted.

According to the story, the charge of second-degree breach of peace encompasses assaulting or striking another person.

Munro provided a sworn written statement that he never touched the teacher and was later released under his own recognizance after issuing a written promise to appear in court on Monday, August 13, the story added.
