NISKAYUNA, NY — Thanks to the quick thinking of an elementary school custodian, Bill Johnson survived a heart attack, according to WTEN-TV.

Johnson, 72 and a member of the Colonie Senior Basketball League, was on the court for roughly five minutes when he began suffering from a heart attack, the article stated.

Two of his teammates immediate began to perform CPR on Johnson, who had fallen to the floor and "very quickly turned a grayish blue color," said Dan Quinn, Johnson''s teammate.

According to the article, Quinn went in search of a custodian who rushed in the school''s defibrillator.

"One of the EMS guys said to me, ''Oh, did you do the defibrillator,'' and I said ''Oh yeah, what did I do wrong?'' and he said, ''Well, you saved his life,''" said Doug Hutton, a custodian at Roessleville Elementary School.
