WELLESLEY, MA — The Wellesley Middle School custodian arrested in connection with recent thefts at the school pleaded guilty to a similar crime in 2002, according to The MetroWest Daily News.

Gino Lister has been charged with stealing $30,000 worth of laptops and other items from the school where he has been employed for six months, the article stated.

According to the article, documents obtained from Framingham District Court revealed that Lister was charged with larceny over $250, breaking and entering during the night and unarmed robbery in connection with a December 26, 2000 incident.

Wellesley Schools Superintendent Bella Wong said all school employees and parent volunteers are checked for criminal records, but would not comment as to whether a conviction would count against applicants in the hiring process, the article noted.
