SOLEDAD, CA — Soledad Police are still searching for two men who bound and robbed a Rose Ferrero Elementary School custodian at gunpoint late last Thursday, according to The Salinas Californian.
After stealing the unnamed custodian''s money, keys to the school and her gold Ford Explorer, the masked gunmen tied her up and put her in a custodial closet where she remained for roughly 30 minutes, the story stated.
According to the story, the stolen sport utility vehicle (SUV) has California license plate 5TUJ336.
The incident occurred around 9 p.m. when the custodian was performing her final duties and getting ready to leave for the night, the story noted.
Soledad Police Lieutenant Jaime Fernandez said: "She was cleaning a room when two males wearing ski masks approached her and asked her for her money."
Soledad Police will be meeting with Salinas Police to see if there are any similarities between this incident and the shooting and robbing of a Creekside Elementary School custodian in nearby Salinas earlier last week, the story added.
