Custodian accused of cracking safe

SALT LAKE CITY — A Granger High School custodian has been accused of stealing money from a school safe, according to the Deseret News.

Eighteen-year-old Robert Walker was taken in to custody by Salt Lake City police for five counts of burglary and four counts of theft, the article noted.

After police investigated several instances of money disappearing from the school safe, video cameras were installed in hopes of catching the responsible party, the article stated.

According to the article, investigators said Walker admitted to entering the safe room at least five times since February 18.

Walker is accused of stealing about $600 from the school, the article added.
