BROOKSVILLE, FL — The restrooms at the Hernando County Government Center are currently cleaned twice a day for employees and residents, according to the Hernando Today.

A budget-saving plan under consideration by county commissioners could reduce that frequency to once a day, the article stated.

According to the article, bathroom cleaning isn''t the only thing the budget cuts would reduce; custodians may be required to cut back on mopping, vacuuming and window cleaning.

If the board accepts the current proposal from the facilities department, custodial staff will reduce its cleaning tasks substantially as the cost savings will be from buying fewer cleaning solutions and equipment and by cutting the work hours of the custodial staff, the article noted.
