MOUNT HOLLY, PA — Last Wednesday, the county Freeholder Board voted to privatize their janitorial services with the goal of cutting costs, reported the Burlington County Times.

The $1.8 million deal with the private company is expected to save the county roughly $500,000 per year, according to the article.

"The Occupational Training Center of Burlington County (OTC) is able to do it cheaper because they need fewer people to do more work," said County Administrator Paul Drayton.

The county has been working for quite some time on decreasing the duplication of activities and, as a result, has 300 less jobs than it did five years ago, the article stated.
