MINNEAPOLIS — Janitors from building service contractors (BSCs) including ABM Janitorial, FBG Services, Harvard Building Maintenance Inc., Mid-City Cleaning Contractors Inc. and Triangle Services ratified a three-year contract over the weekend, according to Finance & Commerce.
The agreement, which was unanimously ratified and covers more than 4,000 Twin Cities area janitors, was between the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 26 and the Minneapolis-St. Paul Contract Cleaners Association, the story stated.
All of the parties involved had reached a tentative agreement last week, which was not finalized until this past weekend, the story noted.
Provisions of the contract include the use of environmentally friendly cleaning products, day-shift cleaning and health insurance coverage, the story added.
