MUSKEGON, MI — While the Fruitport School District has hired a private custodial group, it is not to privatize its employees, according to The Muskegon Chronicle.
The district will employ Reliant Professional Cleaning Contractors to provide an assessment of the overall cleanliness of district buildings, the article stated.
According to the article, while other districts have completely privatized custodial services, the move is not under consideration for Fruitport schools.
"It''s an attempt to help them do their jobs," said Fruitport Community Schools Superintendent Bob Szymoniak.
"We want to maximize efficiency while retaining quality," Szymoniak added.
