Clarkson student places at air quality conference

POTSDAM, NY — A Clarkson University student won second place for a poster presentation at the 12th International Conference on Indoor Air Quality and Climate, according to the Watertown Daily Times.

Kyung Sul, an environmental engineering Ph.D. student from Seoul, South Korea, received second place for her presentation entitled, "Numerical and Experimental Investigation of Particle Resuspension Due to Human Walking," the article stated.

According to the article, Sul described an experiment in which a mechanical foot was used to simulate the movement of particles from the floor to the air after human contact.
