City Hall hears bids for building maintenance

TULSA, OK — Officials will begin hearing bids for the maintenance of City Hall, according to the Tulsa World.

The so-called "managed competition" will pit private companies against the city employees who already maintain the building, the article noted.

According to the article, the bidding process was recommended by a KPMG efficiency review in order to lower the city''s maintenance costs.

City Hall''s budget includes meeting all of the electrical, mechanical, plumbing and carpentry needs of the facility, as well as salaries, benefits and work-related expenses, the article stated.
