LAGUNA HILLS, CA — The city council approved a contract on Tuesday night for graffiti removal at a reduced rate from last year, according to The Orange County Register.
Jamey Clark, the city''s existing contractor for the service, is the only business to have submitted a bid: Clark''s proposal provides cleaning services for $32.50 per worker per hour, down from $49.50 paid by the city in the 2009-10 fiscal year, the article stated.
In 2009-10, the city spent $23,472 on graffiti removal, less than the $28,000 budgeted, Ken Rosenfield, director of public services, said.
In 2009, the city had 54 incidents of vandalism where graffiti was involved, the article noted.
