CHICAGO — Cintas Corporation has won a 2012 UNIVATOR Award for its innovative, corporate-wide uniform redesign for McDonald''s Canada, according to a press release.
Sponsored by UniformMarket News, the UNIVATOR Awards recognize forward-thinking companies that have developed innovative apparel programs, products and strategies over the past year, the release stated.
According to the release, one of only eight companies to win a 2012 UNIVATOR Award, Cintas won in the "Uniform Program Innovation" category.
"A household name in the uniform industry, Cintas never ceases to deliver uniforms that make a positive, high-impact statement about their customers'' business," said Rick Levine, editor at UniformMarket News.
"The McDonald''s Canada uniforms perfectly accent the restaurants'' stylish interiors, outgoing employees and dedication to sustainability," Levine added.
Created as part of a multi-year $1 billion makeover to modernize the majority of its more than 1,400 McDonald''s restaurants in Canada, the new uniforms were designed to complement the restaurants'' new contemporary interiors, which feature flat screen televisions, fireplaces and comfortable seating, the release noted.
