CINCINNATI — Cintas Corporation
announced the launch of a women''s sized professional apparel
line ranging from sizes 16W to 32W, according to a press release
According to the release, the new line is the first of its kind offered for all product lines and is designed with plus-sized proportions in mind to ensure a better fit.
Christine Ward, senior manager of technical design, said: "More than 62 percent of women in the U.S.
wear a size 12 or larger. Today, uniform apparel manufacturers offer larger sizes as an extension of their misses'' lines, which can be tight and poorly fitted. Cintas'' new women''s sizes are approximately 1.5" – 2.5" larger in the bust, waist and hips, providing women greater comfort."
The new line currently consists of professional clothing like skirts, pants and blazers, with women''s sizing to extend to other product areas over the coming year, the release stated.
Cintas is also launching "The Style Plus Confidence Campaign" to coincide with the new sizes, including the creation of a free "Fit Kit"
to help women measure and determine the correct size to achieve the best fit, the release noted.
Bill Goetz, president of the Global Accounts and Strategic Markets division, said: "Our research shows that when women feel good about their appearance, their performance reflects that. We want the associates who wear our apparel to be comfortable. By designing a women''s line that gives them stylish options with a comfortable fit, we help them look and feel good, improving their overall job satisfaction."
