HOUSTON, TX — City janitors have a new ally in their fight for better wages: Children, according to KTRK-TV.

On Saturday afternoon, janitors and their supporters organized a children''s march near the Galleria, the article stated.

According to the article, the children went as far as to make postcards for the owners of the buildings the janitors work in.

For the past three months, janitors have been holding strikes and protests as they continue to negotiate for better pay and benefits in their next contract, the article noted.

"When you have a low income, you can''t pay your bills and stuff," said Ruth Randall, who isn''t a janitor, but attended Saturday''s protest to support their cause.

"You can''t have time with your family and do what you need to do. And the janitors need to have more money to be able to support their kids and their families," Randall added.
