WOOD DALE, IL — Disaster Kleenup International (DKI) has announced that it will be holding its first annual charity golf outing, 18 Holes For Hope, on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, according to a press release.
The event will take place at the Glen Club in Glenview, IL, and 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross, the release noted.
"The Red Cross is truly grateful for the partnership and support of DKI. It is because of partners like them the Red Cross is able to provide vital services in our communities that contribute to the resiliency of our friends and neighbors following disasters," said Amanda Wilander, manager of resource development for the American Red Cross of Greater Chicago.
"In our industry we deal with the effects of disasters, natural or accidental, every day. We know how much of an impact the American Red Cross has on communities all across the world. Recent tragedies like the earthquakes in Japan and Haiti prove how important these efforts are and we are glad that we can support such a worthy organization," said Dale Sailer, DKI president.
According to the release, registration for 18 Holes for Hope is open to the public and will include a round of golf, lunch, prizes and more.
