MUKILTEO, WA — When the calendar flips over to 2012, some changes that have been slowly evolving in the carpet cleaning industry will become more apparent, according to a press release.
"Many of these changes are interrelated and are already apparent to some carpet cleaning technicians and building service contractors (BSCs) that clean carpets," said Mark Baxter, engineer and product manager for U.S. Products.
According to the release, some of Baxter''s 2012 predictions include:
• Disappearing carpets
• Carpet cleaners cleaning floors
• Mobility opening new doors for BSCs
• Low moisture.
Another trend Baxter foresees in 2012 "is the growing understanding that using heat in carpet and hard surface floor cleaning and extraction is a green process. Surfaces dry faster, chemicals work more effectively so less may be needed, all helping to protect the environment."
