MOULTON, GA — Many local businesses are still recovering and cleaning up from last week''s macroburst that caused widespread damage, according to the Decatur Daily.

Theo''s Bar and Grill owner Jerome Theodorou is one of many still cleaning up after straight-line winds from a macroburst storm last Thursday damaged businesses, homes and schools, the article stated.

According to the article, a mabroburst is an intense downdraft at least 2.5 miles in diameter.

"The lightning got one of our computers, our security system, the phone lines, several items in the kitchen," Theodorou said about the restaurant.

Winds between 80 and 100 miles per hour (MPH) left damage to the roof, dented hearses and caused water damage to Lawrence Funeral Home, and roof repairs are still underway, the article noted.
