CHICAGO — The Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI) announced the revision of its Certified Building Service Executive (CBSE) and Registered Building Service Manager (RBSM) certification programs, according to a press release.

According to the release, the programs and exams have undergone a total revision, including the addition of new information to reflect changes in the cleaning industry and reformatted exams available in both Spanish and English.

Taylor Bruce, chair of BSCAI''s Certification Committee, said: "This project was a major undertaking for our small certification committee and professional staff. We''re especially pleased with the new, easier format of our exams which have undergone numerous reviews to ensure both the accuracy and completeness of the responsibilities desired in successful managers and executives. Subjects included in the course preparation materials cover the gamut of responsibilities and skills needed by managers and executives."

The BSCAI has been the trade association for the building service industry for 45 years and has more than 1,800 member companies nationwide, the release stated.

The association also provides educational programs, certification, publications, video training programs, seminars and networking opportunities for members, the release added.
