NEW YORK — Former President Bill Clinton will deliver the keynote address at this year''s Sustainable Operations Summit, according to the New York Times.

The event, which began yesterday and will continue through tomorrow at the New York Hilton in Midtown Manhattan, is expected to attract some 400 participants to panel discussions on energy management and performance of buildings, the story stated.

Clinton''s musings will focus on his foundation''s climate initiative and President Obama''s Better Buildings Challenge, part of a broad effort by Clinton to promote energy-efficient upgrades, the story noted.

The conference is open to the public, but the event is certainly not free: Daylong passes to sessions, including meals, are $875; three-day passes run $1,995, the story added.
