NEW YORK — New York City''s Beth Israel Medical Center received the IPRO Quality Award for 2010, according to Nursing Spectrum.
The award recognizes the commitment and success of Beth Israel''s MRSA Prevention Project multidisciplinary teams in the medical intensive care unit (MICU) and surgical intensive care unit (SICU) of the Petrie Division and the ICU of the Kings Highway Division, the article stated.
Beth Israel has shared its best practice experience and has made significant contributions to the reduction of methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in New York hospitals, the article noted.
IPRO is an independent, nonprofit organization that works with state and federal governments and private corporations to assess the quality of health care programs in New York and other states, the article added.
