BESI provides specialized training for defective 'Chinese' drywall

GAINESVILLE, FL — The Building Envelope Science Institute''s (BESI) First Annual Conference, Training Seminar & Exhibition for Defective Drywall Inspection and Remediation will occur on October 24-27, 2010 at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina, according to a press release.
This special event includes a reception and networking program on Sunday, six different panels of experts on Monday, XRF certification on Tuesday and the main training seminar for defective drywall inspection and remediation on Tuesday and Wednesday, the release stated.
According to the release, BESI provides the most comprehensive training program for inspection and remediation of structures with defective "Chinese" drywall; graduates of these courses are given the opportunity to qualify their work for a 10-year warranty, which provides coverage for up to $500,000.
This warranty is offered by National Construction Warranty (NCW) and is the only Chinese Drywall warranty (CDW) available, the release noted.
