Although modern floor machines have made significant improvements, none appear to use less chemical compared to one new technology: Cylindrical brush autoscrubbers developed by Tornado. Because these systems use brushes and not rotary pads, they are able to penetrate deep into porous tile and grout to remove embedded contaminants. And, they can do it with less water and less chemical.
