The August issue of Cleanfax magazine is now available online, featuring Lisa Wagner''s "Create a rug profit center" article.
Wagner states that by offering a "menu" of options to select from, you allow your clients to choose additional services that can increase your revenue without any strong-arm pressure tactics.
She notes that the easiest services to sell are the ones that are incorporated in your wash process to provide additional benefits beyond a standard cleaning.
Wagner adds that clients who have allergies to dust mites can have their rugs treated with anti-allergen treatments after the wash to denature any irritants that settle on the rug when it is returned back to the home.
According to Wagner, minor repairs, such as securing corners and tacking back together loose binding or loose fringe are all small maintenance repairs that can be accomplished with little training, a needle and some thread.
