STRONGSVILLE, OH — A Strongsville City Schools custodian was recently fired for "theft of board property," according to the Sun Star Courier.
Nina Ward was immediately terminated after the Strongsville City Schools Board of Education voted unanimously that her theft of board property on June 9 and 10 warranted such action, the story stated.
According to the story, the board claims the firing was based on "dishonesty, immoral conduct and other acts of misfeasance, malfeasance or nonfeasance."
Ward was provided with written notification of the board''s action, the story noted.
No other information about how long Ward had been employed by the district or which school she worked at was available because Superintendent Jeff Lampert declined to release any details as the case is pending legal action, the story added.
