NEW YORK — ABM Industries Inc. recently announced its first quarter earnings for fiscal year 2010, according to a press release.
ABM saw revenues of $869.9 million compared to $887.5 million in the year-ago quarter, the release stated.
Net income for the quarter was $12.8 million, a 10.1 percent decrease from the $14.2 million net income in the first quarter of fiscal year 2009, the release noted.
Henrik Slipsager, president and chief executive officer, ABM Industries, said: "The company''s financial results essentially met our expectations for the first quarter of the fiscal year. We are encouraged that revenues increased sequentially, our sales pipeline remains strong and client retention is improving compared to the first half of fiscal 2009 — all pointing to an improving sales outlook."
Income from continuing operations for the first quarter of fiscal year 2010 was $12.8 million compared to $14.8 million in the year-ago quarter, the release added.
