EDINBORO, PA — Although the housekeepers of Endinboro University are a vital part of campus life, few ever put themselves in their shoes, according to The Spectator.

Andre Roberts, who once lived on the third floor of Lawrence Towers A, fully understands the thankless nature of the job because he now is one of the housekeepers, the article stated.

The thought of who had to clean the mess and how much effort and hardwork it would take to get it clean did not run through some students'' minds, the article noted.

According to the article, students have a preconceived notion of what a housekeeper does: They are not maids, janitors or cleaning ladies; their jobs are to clean the residence halls to provide the students a safe and healthy community in which to live.

Roberts said: "To my housekeeper last year, I''m sorry I didn''t clean that mess right after I saw it or thank you for everything you did."

By doing the little things, we can all show the housekeepers how much we care and how much we appreciate their efforts, the article added.
